Matthew Mordas is an Associate Attorney at Sattiraju and Tharney, LLP. He is an experienced trial lawyer dedicated to helping clients navigate a wide range of legal problems.
Experience
Commercial/Corporate Litigation
Matt has experience handling commercial matters on behalf of corporate and individual clients as a member of the Firm’s commercial litigation team. The Firm’s commercial litigation team assists clients in business dispute negotiation and litigation, risk management counseling, arbitration and mediation, and litigation avoidance.
Personal Injury
Matt has experience providing legal representation in a variety of personal injury matters including but not limited to construction defects, products liability, auto accidents, and product defects.
Prior to joining the Firm, from 2017 through 2023, Matt served as an Assistant Deputy Public Defender at the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender. Throughout his career as a criminal defense attorney, Matt represented hundreds of individuals facing a variety of criminal charges from petty disorderly persons offenses to criminal homicide. As an ADPD, Matt argued complex motions in the Superior Court, tried criminal cases, and helped clients and their loved ones traverse the criminal justice system.
Matt transitioned into the legal profession after a career working for a global pharmaceutical company where he specialized in the manufacturing and process development of biologics. He worked in that capacity for nearly 10 years until he earned his Juris Doctor, during the evening, from the Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2016.
Education
Mr. Mordas received his B.A. Biology from Bloomsburg University in 2007 and his J.D. from Temple University in 2016. Mr. Mordas is admitted to practice in New Jersey.
